Fall 2022 updates from Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan.
New partnership with Shipt, MCT2D, and MSHIELD to address food insecurity for people with type 2 diabetes
Same-day delivery service Shipt today announced new initiatives to address food insecurity, including a new partnership with the Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan (HBOM) program and our collaborators at MCT2D and MSHIELD, part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield CQI portfolio.

The Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan (HBOM) program held its first summer collaborative meeting on June 21, 2022. HBOM invited representatives from our 9+ partnering Michigan CQIs in a virtual conversation on tobacco cessation value-based reimbursement strategies and implementation across the State of Michigan. We were joined by invited guest Alisha Lussiez, MD, from the department of surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Lussiez is a key player in a tobacco cessation screening and referral service that has been implemented as part of the pre-operative consultation process at Michigan Medicine.

Join the Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan community for our Summer All Collaborative virtual session on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 10 to 11:30 AM.
We are pleased to hear from invited guest, Alisha Lussiez, MD, on M-PACT, the Michigan Population Health And Access To Social Care Track program, a health-system wide initiative that integrated smoking and food insecurity screening into the pre-operative visit.
Attendees will also receive early access to updated resources and tailored materials from the HBOM Design Team. There will be time for open discussion based on member survey responses and a sneak peek at our Healthy Eating Jumpstart pilot program, a partnership with M-SHIELD, MCT2D, and Shipt.
March 2022 All Collaborative Recap with Downloads and Recordings
Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan hosted our first All Collaborative Meeting on March 15, 2022. We were joined by over 165 clinicians, health care professionals, and clinical data and quality specialists from across Michigan to unite around the shared goal of tobacco cessation in Michigan.
